Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a colorful mix of characters, and a thrilling plot including angels, demons, and sinister influences increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.
Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to begin their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.
This warrior group features Teor (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are rare.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the team has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing started the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.
The antagonist then settled his debts and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd close behind.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each member has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, desires revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a nasty location.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their position as key figures in the powerful family could assist the team access places they normally couldn’t.
- Moreover, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The healer defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- Teor is wanted dead by the family.
This leaves them few options but to journey toward the remote area in search of the traitor.
Future Episodes
According to episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Seekers and Schemers groups.
Audiences can anticipate discovering which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
